Proctor, Carol of Chesterfield, MO. Asleep in Jesus on Tuesday April 8, 2008. Loving wife of Stanley I. Proctor; loving mother of Stephen and James Proctor; our dear godmother and friend to many. Carol was born in Akron, Ohio to Clarence E. and Martha R. Kroeger. She attended Buchtel High School in Akron, graduating in 1950. She attended the Ohio State University School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science in 1954 and was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. After graduation she returned to Akron and was an instructor at the Akron City Hospital School of Nursing. In 1959 she moved to St. Louis for graduate studies at Washington University School of Nursing. She received her Master of Science in 1960. On June 18, 1960 she married Stan at Grace Lutheran Church in Akron, Ohio.  After graduation she became Assistant Professor of Nursing at St. Louis University until 1965 and then became a devoted mother and homemaker. During her time at SLU she served a term as President of the Missouri League for Nursing. Carol was a charter member of King of Kings Lutheran Church and was 1st President of Adelphi Diakonias Womens Service Group. A visitation will be at King of Kings Lutheran Church (13765 Olive Blvd. Chesterfield, MO 63017) on Friday April 11, 2008 from 5-8 PM. A memorial service at King of Kings Lutheran Church will be held on Monday April 21, 2008 at 11:00 AM.
